Context Portability

The ability to move knowledge between tools, agents, sessions, and team members without loss. The cure for The Expertise Trap.

Context Portability means your knowledge isn't locked in. You can export your agent's memory, share it with a colleague, migrate it to a different tool, or archive it for future projects. Portable context transforms AI knowledge from a disposable session artifact into a durable asset. It also protects against vendor lock-in: if your context is portable, switching from one AI tool to another doesn't mean starting from zero. The knowledge travels with you.

Example
An engineer spends two months building up an agent's knowledge of a complex microservices architecture. When a new team member joins, instead of spending two weeks onboarding the new person's agent from scratch, the engineer exports the relevant context and shares it. The new team member's agent immediately has the architectural knowledge, coding conventions, and decision history. What would have been a two-week onboarding process takes minutes. The knowledge is portable, not trapped.
